This is a character that I will probably always remember. In the book he comes from, he is not a sheep but this is what he's found doing. I will always remember this because I was surprised by the horrible accuracy of the words. He was described as having a 'devilish smile.' And the image of what he was doing makes me never want to abuse that description.
In the book Perelandra, the main character, Ransom, discovers this man in a secluded spot in the forest of paradise, tearing the spinal cords out of frogs, while they are alive, and with his one sharp finger nail. There's alot of build up in the setting and the character before hand and the offensive discovery is practically indescribable.
Anyway.... Perelandra is a book I would like to illustrate one day. This is a start.
