I edit these images in a similar way every time. My goal of quality is the same every time. And I can set processes in photoshop to process images the same way every time. So that's great! I just have to rediscover how to do it.
Admittedly, this drawing is about getting a drawing done. This is certainly the idea I had, though it is very poorly played out. But what I gained in the day is the realization of a way to convert a heavily repeated process into much simpler form.

I basically crossed Disney with The Emperor's New Groove under the inktober prompt list for this one.Added wrinkles to the shirt. Adjusted the lines of the cat. Got rid of the hipster. Opened the fridge door. Added paper cups for texture. Made the vertical legs more vertical. Changed the action of a tentacle. Changed the eye. Changed the tickets.....That's alot of decision making.
Drew me a portrait/caricature of George Soros this morning. It was fun. I did it very quickly, colored pencil sketch and brushpen inks.
George Soros has been in the news because 1 he is a billionaire, 2 he supports Hillary Clinton, and 3 he is funding media and activist groups who bring more attention to the chaos of social events, like supposedly racist killings, and those who go to protest on behalf of popular opinions. He is very close to how I imagined the villain in the last book of Lewis' Space Trilogy wouldve appeared So, tonight, after spending a bit of time discovering more and new artists on youtube - I finished up another version of this line art. I'm pleased with them too. One of them has one lineweight and works against the text pretty well, and the other has two weights and does better as a print, says I. Both, can be purchased at Society6!
Here - (https://society6.com/peterpullen/prints) I wanted to try color with these, but now that I see them like this, I don't think color will necessarily be an improvement. Maybe it will after I sleep. |
